We are seeking a proactive and knowledgeable IT Administrator to support our growing organization. This role is responsible for managing device security, identity and access management, troubleshooting endpoints, and ensuring the reliability and security of our IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working across both Mac and Windows environments, administering mobile device management (MDM) and endpoint security solutions, and supporting enterprise-grade networks. As we operate a complex cloud environment, the ideal candidate will also be open to expanding their stills in this area.
Key Responsibilities
- Device Management: Administer and maintain mobile device and endpoint management systems for both Mac and Windows devices, ensuring compliance with security policies and efficient deployment of updates and applications.
- Physical Asset Management: Track, inventory, and manage the lifecycle of IT hardware assets—including laptops, desktops, and related equipment.
- Endpoint Security: Oversee endpoint protection solutions, monitor for threats, and respond to security incidents as needed.
- SSO and Identity Management: Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot SSO and identity management systems—including user licensing, provisioning, deprovisioning, and integration with business applications.
- Network Configuration: Design, deploy, and maintain secure, scalable enterprise networks, ensuring optimal WiFi performance and security for all users.
- Security Policy Configuration: Develop, implement, and enforce security policies within identity and access management platforms to align with organizational standards.
- Technical Support: Provide advanced troubleshooting and support for Mac and Windows laptops, resolving hardware, software, and connectivity issues. Configuration and support for connected lab equipment: 3D printers, meeting rooms, and other technical resources.
- Documentation: Create and maintain clear technical documentation and standard operating procedures.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other IT team members, business stakeholders, and vendors to deliver high-quality IT services and solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or relevant experience preferred.
- Relevant certifications in IT administration, security, or networking are a plus.
- Experience administering device management and endpoint security solutions in a business environment.
- Experience configuring and supporting enterprise-grade wireless networks.
- Hands-on expertise with SSO and identity management platforms (Okta).
- Use of ticketing systems to track work and resolutions (Jira).
- Strong troubleshooting skills for both Mac and Windows laptops.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with cloud productivity platforms and services.
- Working knowledge of AWS and GitHub.
- Experience with additional security tools (e.g. VPN, Zero Trust solutions).
- Familiarity with scripting or automation (e.g. Bash, Terraform) is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
