📐 About this role

Writer is looking for a meticulous and dedicated Accounting clerk to join our finance department. This role is crucial for maintaining financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a passion for numbers.

🦸🏻‍♀️ Your responsibilities

• Handle daily bookkeeping and file maintenance for our accounting system

• Assist in the processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable

• Perform routine clerical duties including data entry, invoice processing, and preparation of bank deposits

• Reconcile accounts in a timely manner

• Provide assistance and support to company personnel

• Research, track, and resolve accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies

• Compile and process invoices, payments, and other financial transactions

• Prepare and maintain various reports

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations
  

⭐️ Is this you?

• Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field; Bachelor’s degree preferred

• Proven accounting experience, ideally as an Accounts receivable clerk or Accounts payable clerk

• Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures

• Competency in MS Office, databases, and accounting software

• Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports

• Accuracy and high attention to detail

• Aptitude for numbers

• Ability to perform filing and record-keeping tasks

• Data entry and word processing skills

• Well-organized

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with accounting software like QuickBooks, Xero, or similar

• Understanding of basic accounting principles and financial reporting
