Essential
We are looking for an experienced and self-sufficient Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Specialist that is passionate about the Ritual brand, has a strong business acumen combined with a solid accounting background and is eager to learn and grow within the accounting team. This role reports directly to the Senior Accounting Manager and will manage the entire accounts payable process and will help the accounting team with completing the monthly close process with an emphasis on accruals. This role will also manage the Wholesale and Partnership areas of the Accounts Receivable Process as well. We are seeking candidates passionate about making an immediate impact in our organization, hard-working, takes ownership, and wants a platform from which to grow.
*This role is REMOTE but must reside on the West Coast

What you'll do:

  • Manage the entire global AP process which includes invoice processing, vendor management, expense reimbursement processing, and payment runs
  • Reviewing invoices for accuracy, completeness, timeliness, and compliance with company policies
  • Creating AP related monthly journal entries and aging reports
  • Develop and maintain AP controls and policies
  • Working cross functionally on inquiries related to invoices, expense reports, payment status, and maintaining company policies related to those areas
  • Managing the annual 1099 filing process
  • Assisting the Senior Accounting Manager with requests during the Annual Financial Statement Audit
  • Assist with tax and other regulatory filings as directed by the Senior Accounting Manager
  • Assisting Senior Accounting Manager to support ad-hoc accounting projects and analysis as needed
  • Manage the wholesale portion of the AR process which includes invoicing various wholesalers, applying payments, recording chargebacks and other deductions, inquiring on overdue invoices, and maintaining AR aging reports.

What you need:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
  • Experience: 3+ years of accounting experience related to accounts payable and/or receivables
  • Proficient understanding of accounting theory (e.g. GAAP) especially in regards to accrual accounting
  • Proficiency in Excel (formulas like VLOOKUP & SUMIF, pivot tables) and Microsoft Suite
  • Experience with NetSuite or other ERP preferred, but not required
  • Experience with Accounts Payable and Expense Management Systems such as Airbase, Bill.com, Concur, Plate IQ, etc.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • PAY RANGE: $46,000 - $75,000
  • Your base salary is one part of your total compensation package. The salary range represents the entire compensation range for this position. Exact compensation will depend on a number of factors, which may include the successful candidate's skills, level, years of experience, technical expertise, and other qualifications. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. This role is also eligible for equity + generous benefits + 401k + unlimited PTO etc - see our list of perks/ benefits below.
