AI/NLP Intern

Location: Remote

Duration: 20-30 pre-scheduled hours per week for 8-12 weeks

Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated AI/NLP Intern to support exploratory research and development efforts within our Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) initiatives. This internship is ideal for students interested in computer vision, deep learning, and natural language processing, particularly in the healthcare technology space. You will work hands-on with modern CV and AI tools to help enhance document understanding and automation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct exploratory research and experimentation on AI, CV, and NLP approaches

• Develop Python-based solutions using OpenCV, YOLO, and similar technologies

• Build and validate strategies to improve intelligent document processing workflows

• Support experiments to optimize accuracy, performance, and scalability of detection models

Internship Deliverables:

• Develop OpenCV algorithms to detect structural layout components in common medical charts

• Build and refine YOLO-based detection models for medical chart elements (e.g., sections, tables) and measure accuracy

• Document findings and contribute to technical discussions on model improvements

Compensation:

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
