About the Role
As Pragma’s Marketing Manager, you’ll play a central role in driving awareness and adoption for Pragma’s flagship backend engine, FirstLook and Professional Services. You’ll be the main POC executing the marketing strategy with Pragma’s GM and in partnership with the management team. You’ll also collaborate with product, sales, and developer relations teams to create marketing campaigns that resonate with game developers and publishers. This role is an excellent opportunity if you’re looking for breadth, ownership and a desire to build something lasting in the gaming industry.
Responsibilities
Marketing Strategy & Execution
Develop marketing strategy with the go to market team; own planning and calendar for Pragma’s backend game engine, targeting mid-to-large game studios.
Own and manage the marketing funnel, working to increase awareness, lead generation and customer trials.
Produce marketing campaigns across all relevant channels (e.g. blog, email, social media, discord)
Conduct competitive research and customer insights to refine Pragma’s positioning in the game tech ecosystem.
Product & Developer Marketing
Translate technical features, solutions and value propositions into messaging tailored for target audiences.
Work with the product, engineering and customer success teams to produce Pragma sales enablement marketing materials including tutorials, case studies, success stories etc.
Events, Press, Community
Plan and execute Pragma’s presence at industry events (GDC, Gamescom, OSS etc); travel to these events required.
Liaise with our press agency for PR communications.
Manage co-marketing relationships with game studios, tech partners, and industry influencers.
Manage communications and updates for our Online Services Guild community.
Qualifications
2-5 years of experience in B2B marketing, preferably in gaming, games technology, SaaS, and/or developer tools.
Ability to drive marketing campaigns from ideation to execution, with an understanding of awareness and demand generation rationale.
Strong understanding of the gaming industry and marketing to game developer, publisher, and studio personas.
Experience translating technical solutions into clear marketing messaging.
Experience working with cross-functional teams, including sales, product, and developer relations.
Familiarity/ability to drive with tools such as HubSpot, Web CMSs, social media, Discord, Canva etc.
Strong initiative, proactiveness and ownership.
