The Senior Manager, Transportation owns the execution and performance of Parachute’s inbound and outbound transportation operations. This role is responsible for broker and carrier management, customs execution, and transportation cost control while ensuring customer delivery commitments are met.

This role reports to the Head of Supply Chain and partners closely with Fulfillment, Sourcing, and Finance.

What You’ll Do

  • Own day-to-day inbound and outbound transportation execution, from supplier pickup through customer delivery.
  • Manage the performance of Parachute’s freight broker (Flexport), including service levels, costs, and issue resolution.
  • Work directly with vendors to ensure goods are ready and picked up on time.
  • Drive container utilization and shipment optimization to reduce landed cost.
  • Own customs clearance execution, documentation accuracy and issue resolution.
  • Manage HTS classification for new and existing items and support tariff mitigation efforts.
  • Own outbound transportation from warehouse to customer across parcel, LTL, and TL.
  • Partner with 3PLs to manage shipping agreements, carrier performance, and rate adherence.
  • Track and audit transportation accessorials to ensure accurate billing.
  • Report on inbound freight, customs, duties, tariffs, and overall transportation costs.
  • Manage duty drawback processes and documentation.
  • Ensure customer on-time delivery and adherence to customer promise.
  • Drive improvements in cost per package through carrier management and process discipline.

Who You Are

  • Strong experience in transportation and logistics operations.
  • Working knowledge of international freight, customs, and HTS classification.
  • Experience managing brokers, carriers, and 3PL partners.
  • Data-driven with strong cost and operational discipline.
  • Organized, hands-on, and accountable for execution.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally to resolve issues.
  • 8+ years of experience in transportation or supply chain roles.
  • Flexport experience a plus.

Parachute takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. The estimated pay range for this role is $110,000 - $140,000.
