As a contract Environment Concept Artist at OCP, you will play a crucial role in shaping the visual identity of our upcoming online multiplayer collaborative action RPG. Working closely with the art and design teams, you will be responsible for creating stunning and inspiring concept art that sets the tone for the game's diverse and dynamic environments. Your work will contribute to building a rich and immersive world that captivates players and enhances their gaming experience.

For this contract role, we’re open to candidates who are at a Senior level or above (e.g., Staff or Principal). Portfolios are required with your application and you must provide examples of evocative landscapes with unique solutions to architecture that you are most proud of.

What You Will Do:

  • Conceptualization: Generate high-quality and visually compelling concept art for the game's environments, including landscapes, structures, props, and vegetation.

  • Visual Style Development: Work collaboratively with the art director to establish and refine the visual style of the game, ensuring that the concept art aligns with the overall vision and narrative.

  • World-building: Contribute to the development of the game world by creating concept art that establishes the atmosphere, mood, and storytelling elements of various in-game locations.

  • Iteration and Refinement: Drive the iteration and refinement process, incorporating feedback from the art director and other team members to elevate the quality of concept art.

  • Innovation: Stay informed about emerging artistic trends and techniques, bringing innovative ideas and approaches to enhance the visual appeal of the game.

  • Documentation: Create clear and comprehensive documentation for your concepts, ensuring that they can be effectively translated into 3D environments by the modeling and texturing teams.

Need to Have

  • Proven experience as a Senior Environment Concept Artist in the gaming industry, with a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in creating stylized environments.

  • Expertise in digital art software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, or equivalent tools.

  • A genuine passion for gaming and a deep appreciation for creating visually stunning and immersive game environments.

Nice to Have
