Position Type: Full-time | Location: Los Angeles or San Francisco (Hybrid) | Reports to: Head of Marketing About MartieMartie is fighting food waste one basket at a time. Every day, millions of dollars worth of products from brands people already know and love never make it to shelves, not because they're bad, but because of a date on a label, a packaging update, or a simple forecasting error. We intercept that excess and turn it into an opportunity for shoppers, for brands, and for the planet. We buy perfectly good overstock from great brands (pantry, beauty, home) and sell it at up to 80% off, no membership required. New items drop daily, powered by an in-house AI buying system that evaluates 25,000+ vendor offers a month. Featured in The New Yorker, The Strategist, and Eater. We're a rapidly growing business on Shopify Plus, a small team that asks "but is this fun?", and glass-half-full people who think saving money and saving the planet should feel like the same thing. The RoleWe're looking for a Growth Product Manager to own how Martie turns traffic into customers. You will own the full path from ad to landing page to checkout, treating it as a single connected product rather than separate handoffs across teams. This is a rare opportunity to build a product-led growth discipline at Martie from the ground up, with direct ownership of how marketing investment turns into measurable business results. You'll run acquisition strategy and execution across Meta, Google, and emerging channels, and you'll build the storefront conversion roadmap that makes every acquisition dollar work harder once shoppers arrive. Customer acquisition cost, conversion rate, and average order value are your numbers.Martie is unusually well-instrumented for our size, so you can spend your first quarter asking better questions instead of begging for data. What shoppers browse, favorite, and buy feeds directly into our buying system. Your work shapes how we acquire, how we sell, and what we stock next. You set the channel and testing roadmap, call the tests, and carry the numbers. This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports; you'll lead through the roadmap, working across brand, design, engineering, and data in a scrappy startup (read: opportunities galore!). What You'll Do- Own the storefront product strategy from landing page through checkout. Define how paid campaigns, landing pages, storefront, and checkout work together to turn traffic into customers, diagnose funnel breaks, and prioritize the fixes with the clearest path to impact.- Run paid acquisition end to end. Leverage Meta and Google as the base, while diversifying into newsletters, podcasts, connected TV, and partnership placements. Own strategy, execution, CAC, LTV, segmentation, and budget mix.- Keep fresh creative feeding the tests. Work with brand, designers, creators, and AI creative platforms to keep a steady pipeline of new ad concepts from brief to live.- Drive systematic improvements on the Martie Storefront. Leverage personalization, upsell/cross-selling, bundling, search and collection experiences, and checkout to improve AOV and conversion rate.- Run the roadmap like a program. Sequence tests against constraints, hold a cadence of planning, execution, and weekly readouts, and document learnings.- Be the day-to-day product owner for engineering. Write tickets/specs, run sprint planning and prioritization, make scope calls, and unblock the team. Who You Are- Product Builder: You've shipped storefront features end to end.- Full-Funnel Thinker: Bring clarity to a funnel spanning ads, landing pages, storefront, and checkout.- Outcome Owner: Take full responsibility for funnel results, communicate progress, and surface risks.- Empowered Collaborator: Co-create with brand, design, engineering, and merchandising; move fast with trust.- Experimental Mindset: Treat testing speed as an advantage; kill or scale tests quickly and honestly.- Deal Hunter: Strong POV on e-commerce merchandising and what makes a deal feel like a find.- Purpose Aligner: Connect the work to keeping good products out of landfills and making quality goods affordable. What You'll Need- 5+ years in growth at a DTC or e-commerce brand with direct ownership of paid acquisition and conversion-focused funnel or shipped product work.- Demonstrated track record of high-velocity testing programs that improved conversion rate, AOV, or CAC.- Shopify Plus experience strongly preferred (checkout extensibility, Functions, theme architecture, app ecosystem).- Fluency across paid social and paid search, product catalog ads, and landing page testing; understand how creative and media performance connect to landing and checkout results.- Fluency in product analytics (PostHog or equivalent) and enough SQL to answer your own questions.- Practical, hands-on use of AI and agentic tools to speed up scoping, analysis, and execution.- Availability to work from our Los Angeles or San Francisco office in a hybrid capacity. Bonus Points- Track record standing up channels from zero and optimizing mature ones.- Experience in grocery, CPG, beauty, liquidation, off-price, flash-sale, or high-velocity catalog businesses.- Hands-on work with a modern warehouse (MotherDuck, Snowflake, BigQuery) or AI-powered analysis workflows.- Strong familiarity with SEO and emerging AI search; sense of how brands get discovered and cited by AI answer engines.- Experience with off-price, flash-sale, or daily-drop merchandising models where inventory is finite and unpredictable.- Care about food waste, accessibility, or the circular economy and can say why. Comp and Logistics- LA or SF, hybrid.- Reports to the Head of Marketing. How to ApplySend résumé and LinkedIn profile to: jobs@martie.com. We read every one. Martie is an equal opportunity employer. We're building a team as varied as the shoppers we serve, and we welcome applicants of every background.
