The Account Executive is an individual contributor role responsible for prospecting and closing sales in GumGum’s Market Leading Advertising platform. Reporting to the Managing Director, JP, this role is responsible for leading and developing key relationships and strategy across agencies and advertisers. We expect the Account Executive to drive value for our clients through GumGum products and cultivate and maintain relationships with those key agencies.

The Account Executiveis a self motivated leader who can work with internal teams and is committed to achieving and exceeding sales goals while growing GumGum’s products in their allocated region.




What You'll Achieve

  • Strategic Sales: Develop, manage, and execute strategic sales opportunities with the Managing Director JP.
  • Drive Revenue: Responsible for the agency and brand direct business in the JP region.
  • Sales Prospecting: Generate high volumes of sales activities, including presentations, RFPs, and partnership development.
  • Relationship Development: Cultivate and grow relationships with agency/brand contacts to provide GumGum solutions for marketing and advertising goals.
  • Client Insight Translation: Provide feedback to internal teams to better service clients' needs.
  • Internal Collaboration: Work with Account Managers and internal teams to ensure proposals are implemented and aligned with client expectations.
  • International Collaboration: Collaborate with GumGum teams in other regions to share insights and best practices.

Skills You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, advertising, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in solution selling with a strong understanding of the online media landscape.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets.
  • Thorough understanding of digital advertising and business models.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and networking skills.
  • Ability to articulate GumGum’s value proposition and vision.
  • Proficiency in CRM software, such as Salesforce, is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
  • Analytical skills to interpret data and develop solutions.
  • Native-level Japanese communication skills; English skills are a plus.
  • Motivated, proactive, and passionate about our product.
  • Ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing demands.
  • Creative, strategic thinker with a sense of urgency.
  • Team player with a drive to grow industry knowledge and expertise.
