🚀 Ellipse is Hiring: Finance & Operations Manager (AI-Native)

Ellipse is a fast-growing fintech company on a mission to prevent Card-Not-Present fraud before it happens. Our patented EVC® (Electronic Verification Code) technology replaces the static CVV with a dynamic security code across physical cards, digital, and mobile channels, stopping fraud at the source rather than filtering it after the fact. Based in Los Angeles with a team spanning the US, France, and Taiwan, we're looking for a Finance & Operations Manager to join us in Culver City.

This is a unique opportunity for a smart, ambitious professional who wants direct exposure to the CEO and leadership team. The role combines accounting, financial planning, reporting, payroll administration, board preparation, and operational support. While we're particularly interested in junior candidates with strong potential, we're open to all experience levels for the right person.

What You'll Do

• Manage our accounting operations in QuickBooks
• Own payroll administration and coordinate with payroll providers to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing
• Serve as the primary liaison with our CPA firms in the US and France
• Handle financial consolidations across our international entities
• Prepare board materials, reporting packages, and investor updates
• Support monthly and quarterly closes and financial reviews
• Manage and update budgets, forecasts, and cash flow reporting
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations across jurisdictions
• Work directly with the CEO and leadership team on finance and operational initiatives
• Use AI tools such as Claude and ChatGPT to automate workflows, improve financial analysis, build better models, and increase productivity

What We're Looking For

• Strong accounting and financial analysis fundamentals
• Experience with QuickBooks or a strong willingness to learn
• Comfortable working with numbers, deadlines, and multiple entities across jurisdictions
• Strong user of AI tools, especially Claude and ChatGPT. We believe the future belongs to people who know how to leverage AI effectively.
• Organized, resourceful, and eager to take ownership
• Entrepreneurial mindset and desire to grow within a high-growth company

Nice to Have

• French language skills and familiarity with the French accounting system
• Experience in fintech, payments, SaaS, or a startup environment
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related field
