CX2, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Inventory & Receiving Specialist to join our growing team. You'll play a critical role in ensuring materials flow efficiently from receiving through manufacturing.
You will be responsible for supporting day-to-day receiving operations, recording transactions in our ERP system, maintaining accurate inventory levels, and supporting production by kitting materials for upcoming jobs.
The ideal candidate takes full ownership of inventory accuracy and ensures materials are properly picked, staged, and prepared for jobs scheduled on the production floor.
This role requires onsite presence during shipping/receiving hours at our El Segundo, CA HQ; hands-on, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where accuracy and organization are critical to operational success.
This role is onsite in El Segundo, CA.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and inspect incoming shipments, verifying quantities, part numbers, and documentation against packing slips and purchase orders; identify and report any discrepancies, shortages, overages, or damaged materials to the Purchasing and Operations teams.
  • Accurately process received materials in the inventory management system, including labeling, organizing, and storing inventory in designated warehouse locations to maintain inventory accuracy and traceability.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and stock levels through effective warehouse organization, inventory control practices, and ongoing monitoring of material availability to support operational requirements.
  • Perform cycle counts and inventory audits, investigate and reconcile discrepancies, ensure material traceability, and proactively communicate inventory shortages or concerns to the Purchasing team.
  • Review work orders, production schedules, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) to accurately pull, verify, and kit required materials and components for manufacturing jobs, ensuring complete and error-free production packages.
  • Deliver production kits to manufacturing on schedule and manage material returns by reconciling excess components back into inventory while maintaining accurate inventory records.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of experience in receiving, inventory control, warehouse operations, or manufacturing support.
  • Experience using inventory management or ERP systems.
  • Ability to conduct cycle counts and reconcile inventory discrepancies
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Google Sheets/Microsoft Excel
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Good communication skills for coordination across teams
  • Good time management skills and understanding of prioritization

Bonus Points

  • Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Experience in an electronics manufacturing or production environment
  • Experience handling regulated or hazardous materials (DG)
  • Familiarity with FIFO, attrition, and kitting to ​Bills of Materials (BOMs)
  • Experience with cycle counting and inventory audits
  • Exposure to supply chain or procurement workflows
