CX2 is a next-generation defense technology company founded to deliver spectrum dominance for the United States and our allies. CX2’s AI-enabled hardware and software platforms detect, disrupt and defend the electromagnetic spectrum across land, air, sea and space domains.

We are seeking a highly motivated Electronic Warfare (EW) Systems Engineer to design, develop, and integrate advanced systems that operate within the electromagnetic spectrum. This role supports mission-critical defense programs focused on sensing, protecting, and controlling RF environments in complex and contested scenarios.

Key success factors for this role include:
  • Systems thinking and problem-solving in complex environments
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Ability to work in cross-disciplinary teams
  • Effective written and verbal communication

Key Responsibilities

  • Support system integration of RF hardware, software, and platform-level components (air, land, sea, or space)
  • Plan and execute test & evaluation (T&E) activities, including lab and field testing
  • Generate and maintain technical documentation, requirements, and verification artifacts
  • Requirements Gathering: Meet with clients and stakeholders to identify, gather, and document technical requirements.
  • Analysis & Modeling: Analyze project technical features, create diagrams, and build models to define system behavior.
  • Validation & Verification: Ensure that requirements are correct (validation) and that the final system meets those requirements (verification).
  • Traceability & Scope Management: Maintain traceability of requirements from design to testing to prevent scope creep.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with software, RF, hardware, and project management teams to align design with user needs.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Sciences, Physics, or related field
  • Experience with simulation tools, modeling tools, and requirements management software.
  • Strong understanding of signal processing fundamentals (FFT, filtering, detection theory)
  • Experience with modeling and simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB, Simulink, Python)
  • Familiarity with RF test equipment (spectrum analyzers, signal generators, network analyzers)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance

ITAR Regulations

  • To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a US Citizen, Green Card holder, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State. Learn more about the ITAR here.

Bonus Points

  • Experience with electronic warfare systems or radar signal processing
  • Knowledge of EW techniques (jamming, spoofing, electronic protection methods)
  • Familiarity with MBSE/SysML tools (e.g., Cameo, MagicDraw)
  • Experience with RF simulation tools (HFSS, CST, ADS)
  • Prior work in defense or aerospace programs

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary, stock options and benefits, including health, vision and dental.
  • 401K enrollment at 90 days.
  • Generous PTO + most Federal Holidays observed.
  • Collaborative and inclusive work environment.
  • Access to the latest tools and technologies.
  • High levels of responsibility and autonomy.
  • Professional growth and development opportunities.
  • Access to the hardest problems in electronic warfare.
