For the first time in history, this influx of payload companies combined with reduced launch costs has resulted in a massive increase in need for commercial spacecraft platforms, known as satellite buses. These buses hold the payloads of our customers and are flown on launch vehicles.

About the Role

As a Facilities Associate at Apex, you’ll be the go-to person for keeping our space clean, safe, and running smoothly. You’ll support everything from daily upkeep to basic maintenance, playing a key role in making sure the team has a comfortable and functional workspace. This is a hands-on role based at our facility in Playa Vista.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily walkthroughs of the facility to ensure cleanliness, safety, and functionality

• Set up and rearrange furniture for meetings and employee workstations

• Disinfect and clean bathrooms and kitchen areas, including dishwasher, sink/fridge, coffee machine, etc.

• Handle trash and recycling collection throughout the facility

• Restock supplies in bathrooms and shared spaces

• Perform basic maintenance and repairs (e.g., replacing light bulbs, unclogging sinks)

• Receive, sort, and deliver packages

• Manage inventory of cleaning and safety supplies and restock as needed

• Escort vendors on-site (HVAC, pest control, plumbing, etc.)

• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• All applicants must be a U.S. Person

• Previous facilities, maintenance, or custodial experience preferred

• Flexible, reliable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, startup environment

• Ability to perform physical tasks throughout the day and stand for long periods of time

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
